Soccer Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

After flying high against Dawson County last Tuesday, Jefferson came back down to earth. The Dragons lost 3-0 to the Oconee County Warriors on Friday. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Jefferson couldn't quite close it out.

Jefferson's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-4. As for Oconee County, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Jefferson didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-2 victory against Monroe Area on the 25th. As for Oconee County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Mountain View on the 25th.
