Soccer Game Preview: Clovis East vs. Clovis

The Clovis East Timberwolves will venture away from home to take on the Clovis Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clovis East's last five matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

While Clovis East's win against Clovis West wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Timberwolves sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Golden Eagles on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Clovis East's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 130th, while Clovis West are ranked 286th).

Clovis East hit Clovis West with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Noah Naranjo, Christian Thoa, and Francisco Damas.

Meanwhile, Clovis and Clovis North finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw on Friday.

Clovis East's win bumped their record up to 11-5-2. Clovis' draw gives them a new season record of 15-2-5.
