Football Game Preview: Crandall Pirates vs. Terrell Tigers + Official Tickets

The Crandall Pirates will face off against the Terrell Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Crandall knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Terrell likes a good challenge.

On Thursday, Crandall came up short against Ennis and fell 42-35.

Despite the loss, Crandall had strong showings from Darrik Ward Jr., who rushed for 181 yards and two TDs, and Jeremiah Douglas, who picked up 139 receiving yards and one touchdown. Ward Jr. is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Terrell strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 76-28 win over Greenville. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Tigers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Lions are ranked 733rd).

Terrell's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Crandall, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-2.

Crandall was able to grind out a solid win over Terrell in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, winning 25-14. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
