Basketball Recap: Franklin Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Katie Boal and Jadyn Blum

While it was all tied up 17-17 at halftime, Franklin was not quite Conneaut Area's equal in the second half on Thursday. They fell 47-39 to the Conneaut Area Eagles. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Franklin's loss came despite strong showings from Jadyn Blum and Katie Boal. Blum posted 14 points and five boards, while Boal dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds. Boal has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 15 times she's played. Sydney Stevens was another key player, putting up three points.

Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Conneaut Area, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-6.

Franklin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 49-17 victory against Titusville on the 10th. Conneaut Area does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
