Baseball Recap: Washington Comes Up Short

Washington lost against KIPP Atlanta Collegiate back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bulldogs lost 14-1 to the Warriors. The Bulldogs' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Kedren Ceesay made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole four bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Washington is 3-1 when Ceesay posts two or more stolen bases, but 2-8 otherwise. Camron McKinney also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for KIPP Atlanta Collegiate, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-16.

While Washington had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
