Preview: Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders vs. Olympian Eagles
Mater Dei Catholic is 8-2 against Olympian since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders will be staying on the road to face off against the Olympian Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th.
Last Saturday, Mater Dei Catholic came up short against Imperial and fell 51-43.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Valentina Aranalde, who scored 14 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Promise Martin, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Olympian earned a 61-50 win over Fallbrook last Monday.
Mater Dei Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Olympian, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.
Mater Dei Catholic came out on top in a nail-biter against Olympian in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, sneaking past 63-61. Will Mater Dei Catholic repeat their success, or does Olympian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
