Preview: Princeton Eagles vs. Chester Volcanoes
The Princeton Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Chester Volcanoes at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Princeton didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Westwood, but they still walked away with a 25-21 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Princeton.
Princeton's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Starlin Smith, who scored four points along with six rebounds and six steals, and Reyna Sullivan, who scored eight points along with 13 rebounds and seven steals. Sullivan is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Sissy Winn was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Chester had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Burney 41-24 on Friday. The win was just what Chester needed coming off of a 59-32 loss in their prior contest.
Princeton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season. As for Chester, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
