Soccer Recap: Castro Valley Wins Going Away Against Freedom

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Castro Valley walked away with it. They were the clear victor by a 4-1 margin over the Freedom Falcons on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Trojans needed considering they were shutout in their previous matchup.

They hit Freedom with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Rainey Rinaldi (2), Kiana Ayllon, and Hailey Smith.

Castro Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four games. Freedom's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

Castro Valley wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 0-0 loss against Petaluma on the 25th. Freedom does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
