Softball Recap: Glenwood Drops Highest Score of Season Against Red Oak

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Glenwood). They put the hurt on the Red Oak Tigers with a sharp 18-1 win on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Glenwood is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Red Oak, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Glenwood is set to square off against their familiar foe Creston at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Red Oak will take on rival Clarinda at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
