Soccer Recap: Athenian Comes Up Short

Athenian was the 2-0 winner over Bentley when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Athenian Owls came up short against the Bentley Phoenix on Thursday, falling 4-1. The Owls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Siri Kelshikar, which was the first she's scored this season.

Athenian's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Bentley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1-1.

Athenian has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against St. Joseph Notre Dame on the 13th. As for Bentley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 4-1 defeat against Albany on the 11th.
