Softball Game Preview: Strong Rock Christian Patriots vs. Calvary Christian Knights

The Strong Rock Christian Patriots will take on the Calvary Christian Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Strong Rock Christian comes in on three and Calvary Christian on nine.

Strong Rock Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand First Presbyterian Day a 2-0 shutout. That's two games straight that the Patriots have won by exactly two runs.

Meanwhile, Calvary Christian made easy work of First Presbyterian Day on Friday and carried off an 8-0 win. Considering the Knights have won 15 matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Calvary Christian's victory bumped their record up to 25-2. As for Strong Rock Christian, their win bumped their record up to 20-5.

Strong Rock Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Calvary Christian when the teams last played back in September, sneaking past 5-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
