After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cedaredge, Delta was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Everything went their way against the Basalt Longhorns as they made off with a 16-1 victory. Considering the Panthers have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Jaidyn Robinson was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Olivia Hines, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.
Delta always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .692. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Basalt only posted an OBP of .357.
Delta is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Basalt, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-14.
