Baseball Game Preview: Brick Memorial Mustangs vs. New Egypt Warriors

The Brick Memorial Mustangs will challenge the New Egypt Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Saturday, Brick Memorial didn't have quite enough to beat Point Pleasant Boro and fell 4-3.

Meanwhile, New Egypt got the win against Westampton Tech on Thursday by a conclusive 14-4. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Justin Kramer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off nine hits. He has become a key player for New Egypt: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 6-13 otherwise. Kramer was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, New Egypt let Anthony Vidal and Nolan Arnold run wild. Vidal went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles, while Arnold went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. New Egypt is 3-1 when Vidal posts three or more RBI, but 5-13 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Toby Chao, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

New Egypt kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.4.

New Egypt's victory bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Brick Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-10.
