Soccer Game Preview: Harlem vs. Howard

The Harlem Bulldogs and the Howard Huskies will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Harlem will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Thursday, then bounced right back against Westside on Tuesday. Harlem was the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over Westside. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 4-0.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Howard). Their defense stepped up to hand Cross Creek a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

The victory got Howard back to even at 4-4. As for Harlem, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
