Screven County is a perfect 4-0 against Portal since October of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Gamecocks will host the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Screven County is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Screven County is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 40-6 win over Savannah. The Gamecocks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Screven County's success was spearheaded by the efforts of AB Hilton, who rushed for 122 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, and Demarko Ward, who rushed for 76 yards and two TDs on only nine carries. Ward is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last four games he's played.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Screven County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 393 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 183 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Another reason for the win was Screven County's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Casey Johnson refused to say out of the backfield, picking up a sack all by himself.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Portal, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They put the hurt on Claxton with a sharp 35-12 victory on Friday. That 23 point margin sets a new team best for the Panthers this season.
A big part of Portal's win came down to the chemistry between Gideon Fulcher and his top target Zeke Percell. Fulcher threw for 120 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine passes while Percell gained 98 total yards and two touchdowns.
Screven County's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Portal, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Screven County has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 289.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Portal struggles in that department as they've been averaging 189.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Screven County didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Portal in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 26-21 victory.
