Baseball Recap: Clifton Central Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wilmington, Clifton Central was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Kankakee Kays. The Comets haven't had any issues with the Kays recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Clifton Central's record is now 17-7. As for Kankakee, their loss dropped their record down to 9-23.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clifton Central will host Iroquois West at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Comets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Kankakee, they will be playing at home against Thornton at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Kays are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
