Recap: El Dorado Cougars vs. Bella Vista Broncos
The El Dorado Cougars came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 65-34 win over Bella Vista. With that win, El Dorado brought their scoring average up to 50.8 points per game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead El Dorado to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alana Schneider, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds. The contest was Schneider's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Brianna Hawthorne was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
El Dorado is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Bella Vista, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. El Dorado will challenge West Park at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. West Park has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Bella Vista's road trip will continue as they head out to face Union Mine at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th.
