The Rio Lindo Adventist Spartans won the last time they faced the Summerfield Waldorf Mustangs, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Rio Lindo Adventist walked away with a 36-24 victory over the Mustangs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Rio Lindo Adventist.
Rio Lindo Adventist got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Belen Hernandez out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Hernandez is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Torika Avoi, who scored four points along with nine rebounds and five steals.
Rio Lindo Adventist's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4. As for Summerfield Waldorf, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.
Rio Lindo Adventist will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Summerfield Waldorf will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on February 9th.
