Basketball Recap: Kensington KENSINGTON TIGER vs. Frankford Pioneers
The Kensington KENSINGTON TIGER lost against the Frankford Pioneers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Kensington fell to the Pioneers 38-33.
Several KENSINGTON TIGER players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was DIAMOND SHULER, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was JOCELYN WASHINGTON, who scored nine points.
Frankford's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Janeliss Laboy, who scored 19 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Laboy has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Leyshka Ruperto was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Kensington's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Frankford, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Kensington will be playing in front of their home fans against the at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Little Flower Catholic for Girls is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Frankford, they will head out on the road to square off against the Vikings at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
