Softball Recap: Gross Catholic Snags Fifth Win in Last Six Games

The third road game was the charm for Gross Catholic, as they earned their first away win of the season. They came out on top against the Guardian Angels Central Catholic Bluejays by a score of 5-2 on Saturday. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 6-4 victory the Bluejays walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Alexis Skradski spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

Gross Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Guardian Angels Central Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
