After a string of three wins, North Callaway's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Lutheran South Lancers by a score of 8-6.

Megan Schmidt made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Kymorie Myers, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

North Callaway's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Lutheran South, the win got them back to even at 2-2-1.

North Callaway has already played their next matchup, a 14-0 defeat against Liberty North on the 13th. As for Lutheran South, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against DeSoto at 4:15 p.m. The Dragons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Lancers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
