Basketball Game Preview: Temple City Rams vs. Burbank Bulldogs

The Temple City Rams will venture away from home to challenge the Burbank Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Temple City is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering South Pasadena just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They were outmatched by the Tigers and fell 65-35. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 526th, while the Tigers are ranked 212th).

Despite the defeat, Temple City had strong showings from Abigail Yoshimura, who posted ten points and four steals, and Alexis Yoshimura, who earned 13 points and five boards. Abigail has been hot, having posted four or more steals the last five times she's played.

Meanwhile, Burbank suffered their biggest loss since February 1, 2024 on Thursday. They were dealt a 66-31 defeat at the hands of Crescenta Valley.

Temple City's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-10. As for Burbank, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-10.
