Baseball Game Preview: New Hampstead Phoenix vs. Ware County Gators

For the second straight game, New Hampstead will face off against Ware County. The Phoenix will venture away from home to square off against the Gators at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. New Hampstead has given up an average of 8.4 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

New Hampstead came up short against Ware County on Tuesday, falling 21-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Phoenix in their meetings with the Gators: they've now lost four in a row.

New Hampstead saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Briar Miller, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

The victory was the third in a row for Ware County, bringing their record up to 5-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for New Hampstead, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
