Otay Ranch had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They blew past the Hilltop Lancers, posting a 62-28 victory. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Maleah Porch continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 11 for 18 on her way to 26 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Anaya Carter, who went 6 of 12 to rack up 13 points and three steals.

Otay Ranch pushed their record up to 20-5 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.2 points over those games. As for Hilltop, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.

Looking ahead, Otay Ranch will head out on the road to challenge Chula Vista at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hilltop, they will welcome Eastlake at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
