The Otay Ranch Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Coronado Islanders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Otay Ranch is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.2 goals per game this season.

Otay Ranch is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Mission Bay on Thursday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Buccaneers by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty six goals in the game before, Otay Ranch couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Sienna Respicio, who's now up to eight this season.

Meanwhile, Coronado's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Rancho Buena Vista, sneaking past 2-1.

Coronado's record is now 4-0. As for Otay Ranch, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Otay Ranch couldn't quite get it done against Coronado in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as they fell 2-0. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
