Despite the loss, Midlothian still got an impressive performance from Beau Wendel, who rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 104 yards and a touchdown. Wendel got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 72 yards. Kentorion King was another key player, rushing for 57 yards and a touchdown.
Even though they lost, Midlothian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 239 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 195 rushing yards in 12 consecutive contests.
Lone Star found their leader in sophomore Rece Hoyt, who rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 138 yards and a touchdown.
Midlothian's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Lone Star, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.
Midlothian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lone Star, they will face off against Highland Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
