Recap: Orange Glen Patriots vs. Escondido Charter White Tigers
The Orange Glen Patriots suffered their biggest loss since November 20, 2023 on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 58-29 loss at the hands of Escondido Charter. Orange Glen has not had much luck with Escondido Charter recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Kami Gillis was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds for Escondido Charter. Gillis is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Noelle Champagne, who scored 14 points along with six steals and two blocks.
Orange Glen has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Escondido Charter, they pushed their record up to 9-11 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Orange Glen will take on Maranatha Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maranatha Christian is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Escondido Charter, they will be playing at home against Canyon Crest Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
