Baseball Recap: Glenbard North Comes Up Short

Glenbard North extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping them down to 6-6-2. They lost 7-1 to the St. Charles East Fighting Saints. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 12-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

As for St. Charles East, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-4. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.

For St. Charles East's part, the team relied heavily on Andrew Evans, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those two stolen bases gave Evans a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Niko Vahmistrovs, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

While Glenbard North had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
