Basketball Game Preview: The Webb Schools Gauls vs. Chaffey Tigers

The Webb Schools Gauls and the Chaffey Tigers will face off at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Chaffey took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on The Webb Schools, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with eight losses in a row dating back to last season, The Webb Schools turned things around against Legacy College Prep on Friday. They claimed a resounding 56-6 win over the Lions. The Gauls' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Pristine Thomas, who posted 20 points along with five rebounds and five steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Geniya Parker, who had 12 points and four steals.

The Webb Schools was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Chaffey lost to San Marino on the road by a 49-31 margin on Friday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The Webb Schools' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Chaffey, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Things could have been worse for The Webb Schools, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 32-17 loss to Chaffey when the teams last played last Friday. Can The Webb Schools avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
