Baseball Recap: M.L. King Comes Up Short

M.L. King was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 5-1 to the Midtown Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 last Monday.

M.L. King saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaleb Scott, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. That's the most hits Scott has posted since back in February.

M.L. King's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Midtown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. M.L. King will take on rival Pace Academy at 5:55 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Midtown is set to square off against their familiar foe Creekside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
