Softball Recap: Carl Albert Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Carl Albert, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Norman Tigers on Thursday, sneaking past 1-0. That's more bragging rights for the Titans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not much got past Kynlee Sutton, who gave up just four hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Norman off the board. Sutton has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Bailey Rusche, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

Carl Albert has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Norman, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.
