Soccer Recap: Rio Linda Plays to a Tie

For the first time since back in December of 2024, Rio Linda was forced to settle for a draw on Monday. They and the Escalon Cougars finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw.

Vanessa Huerta was the only thing that stood between Rio Linda and a shutout considering she scored both of Rio Linda's goals, bringing her season total up to four goals.

With that draw, Rio Linda's record moves to 5-6-2. As for Escalon, they moved theirs to 2-3-4.

Rio Linda wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 2-2 draw against Calaveras on the 2nd. As for Escalon, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Hughson on the 3rd.
