Basketball Game Preview: Laton Mustangs vs. Coast Union Broncos

The Laton Mustangs and the Coast Union Broncos will face off at 3:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. Laton will be strutting in after a victory while Coast Union will be coming in after a defeat.

Laton is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Maricopa 39-10. The Mustangs not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since January 22nd (when they won 41-6).

Among those leading the charge was Gabriella Alvarado, who posted 18 points.

Meanwhile, Coast Union came up short against Alpaugh on Thursday and fell 47-36.

Laton's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Coast Union, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Laton couldn't quite get it done against Coast Union in their previous meeting back in January of 2017 as they fell 37-29. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
