Soccer Recap: Tripoli Takes a Loss

Tripoli was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They lost 13-0 to the Hudson Pirates. While losing is never fun, Tripoli can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 217th, while Hudson are ranked 56th).

Tripoli's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Hudson, the win keeps they at an undefeated 20-0-3.

Looking ahead, Tripoli will take on Waterloo East on Monday. Tripoli will be up against Waterloo East's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.84 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Hudson has already played their next contest (against Sumner-Fredericksburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
