Softball Recap: Northview Drops Highest Score of Season Against Chattahoochee

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northview). Everything went their way against the Chattahoochee Cougars on Monday as they made off with an 18-6 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Titans considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Jinghan (Hannah) Xu was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Stella Weaver, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

Northview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Northview's victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-11. As for Chattahoochee, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northview will venture away from home to challenge Clarkston at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chattahoochee, they will head out to square off against Lanier at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
