Basketball Game Preview: Blair County Christian Bobcats vs. Northumberland Christian Warriors

The Blair County Christian Bobcats will square off against the Northumberland Christian Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Blair County Christian's defense has only allowed 28.7 points per game this season, so Northumberland Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Last Tuesday, Blair County Christian was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 32-31 to Bedford County CIA. While the Bobcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Agents 14-7 in the first quarter.

Despite their loss, Blair County Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Gabi Dull, who posted seven points along with six rebounds and five assists, was perhaps the best of all. Dull has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Kadee Spinazzola was another key player, putting up nine points.

Even though they lost, Blair County Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 19 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Northumberland Christian came up short against Millville on Thursday, falling 50-28.

Blair County Christian's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.7 points over those games. As for Northumberland Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.
