Baseball Game Preview: Woodland Wolfpack vs. Creekside Christian Academy Cougars

The Woodland Wolfpack will face off against the Creekside Christian Academy Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Woodland comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Woodland came up short against Morrow on Friday, falling 14-7.

Woodland saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xavier Washington, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Damian Gibson was another, scoring a run while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Creekside Christian Academy suffered their biggest loss since April 20, 2024 last Friday. They lost 7-1 to Dutchtown. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Cougars' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Having lost for the first time this season, Creekside Christian Academy fell to 4-1. As for Woodland, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Woodland has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Creekside Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Everything went Woodland's way against Creekside Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, as Woodland made off with a 10-0 win. Will Woodland repeat their success, or does Creekside Christian Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
