Football Recap: Calabasas Sets Scoring Season-High Against Birmingham + How To Watch

Calabasas won the last time they faced Birmingham and things went their way on Friday too. The Coyotes were the clear victors by a 49-28 margin over the Patriots. The Coyotes' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Dominik Hardy had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 300 yards and three TDs while completing 72.4% of his passes, and also punching in one touchdown on the ground. What's more, he racked up 140 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Kayne Miller helped Hardy out on the ground, rushing for 87 yards and a pair of scores on only 12 carries.

Birmingham's loss came despite strong showings from Braylen Morgan and Kevin Hawkins. Morgan rushed for 146 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, while Hawkins rushed for 114 yards and two TDs on only 13 carries. Hawkins' longest rush was for an impressive 56 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Calabasas' victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Birmingham, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Calabasas wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 48-21 loss against Los Alamitos on the 26th. As for Birmingham, they have also already played their next contest, a 44-8 win against Harvard-Westlake on the 27th.
