Softball Recap: Ringgold Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Ringgold won the last time they faced Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Tigers came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 6-3. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Emorie Coles looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hayden Gordy was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Emma Harper was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Ringgold's victory bumped their record up to 6-16. As for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 14 of their last 15 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-22 record this season.

Ringgold will venture away from home to face off against Northwest Whitfield at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bruins will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
