Baseball Recap: Cherokee Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Cherokee's offense. They fell just short of the North Paulding Wolfpack by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolfpack apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Andre Sweet was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Cherokee has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-13 record this season. As for North Paulding, their victory was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-4.

While Cherokee had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
