Soccer Recap: West Comes Up Short

West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Torrance Tartars, falling 5-2. While losing is never fun, West can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 286th, while Torrance are ranked 34th).

West's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Torrance, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. West is set to face off against their familiar foe Mira Costa at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Torrance will square off against rival Palos Verdes at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
