Tri-Metro - East recap October 29, 2013
St. Croix Lutheran extended the longest winning streak in Tri-Metro - East this week by beating Como Park, 57-7. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
St. Croix Lutheran took down the Cougars 57-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Concordia Academy's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Austin Moldenhauer threw for 49 and 1 touchdown and Eric Young had 49 yards receiving. On the ground Roger Moore chipped in 209 yards.
Lewi Yonas made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Beacons bested Edison. He pulled down 1 interception.
Moore provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Concordia Academy defeated the Tommies.
Moldenhauer put up the best numbers through the air as Brian Brown's team bested Edison.
Concordia Academy's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Beacons feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Moldenhauer has thrown for 397 yards and 5 touchdowns this season, while Young has 8 catches for 282 yards.
Carl Lemke's team led the league in scoring this week by notching 57 points on Como Park.
