Baseball Recap: Alcovy Comes Up Short

Alcovy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Winder-Barrow Bulldoggs, falling 29-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldoggs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-1 last Wednesday.

Alcovy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Kitchens, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Those RBI were Kitchens' first of the season. Cody Whitmer was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

Alcovy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Winder-Barrow, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5.

Alcovy has already played their next match, a 15-0 loss against Loganville on the 2nd. As for Winder-Barrow, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Clarke Central on the 1st.
