Volleyball Recap: Shasta's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Shasta had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Pleasant Valley Vikings. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolves also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Shasta had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-20, 25-11, 28-26.

Olivia Sutter went supernova, getting 21 digs and one assist. Those 21 digs gave her a new career-high. Olivia Ferguson also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

Shasta was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive contests.

Shasta's victory bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Pleasant Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season.
