San Marin has gone 10-0 against Tamalpais recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The San Marin Mustangs are taking a road trip to square off against the Tamalpais Red Tailed Hawks at 6:00 p.m. San Marin will be strutting in after a victory while Tamalpais will be coming in after a loss.

On Tuesday, San Marin didn't have too much trouble with Novato as they won 40-23. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Hornets are ranked 478th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Tamalpais was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-41 heartbreaker at the hands of Bethel.

San Marin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Tamalpais, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

San Marin skirted past Tamalpais 57-54 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for San Marin since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
