Softball Recap: Bethany Bronchos vs. Kingfisher Yellowjackets
Bethany unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 6-2 to the Kingfisher Yellowjackets on Tuesday. Bronchos fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Yellowjackets since Tuesday.
Jayda Davis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on three hits.
On the hitting side, Emma Buxton was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Jules Barger, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bethany is headed away from home for the first time to take on Chisholm at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
