Jasper County took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Mary Persons, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Hurricanes sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Bulldogs on Wednesday. This was payback for the Hurricanes, who suffered a 19-9 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Jasper County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Mary Persons, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jasper County will square off against Oglethorpe County at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Hurricanes surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mary Persons, they will face off against Upson-Lee at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
