Softball Recap: Make It Eight in a Row for Albany

Albany entered their tilt with Cainsville on Monday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They never let the Redmen get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly ten runs.

Makena Moffat made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.8 strikeouts per game. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Whitney Sterkis, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Isabel Manville was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
