Baseball Recap: John Curtis Christian Takes a Loss

John Curtis Christian fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against St. Augustine on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the St. Augustine Purple Knights by a score of 2-1. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Purple Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Jason Curtis was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.

John Curtis Christian is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-9. As for St. Augustine, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-6.

While John Curtis Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Thursday.
