Baseball Game Preview: Cross Creek Razorbacks vs. Howard Huskies

Cross Creek is on a six-game streak of home losses, and Howard a ten-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Cross Creek Razorbacks will welcome the Howard Huskies at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Cross Creek's offense. They lost 15-0 to Academy of Richmond County on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, in Wednesday's Canine Competition, Howard didn't have enough. They came up short against Mary Persons on Wednesday, falling 26-8.

JAYDEN REESE was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Darius Brown was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Howard's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Cross Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14.

Cross Creek came out on top in a nail-biter against Howard in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 17-15. Will the Razorbacks repeat their success, or do the Huskies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
